Christmas Make-up Tips for the Party Season!

It’s right in the middle of the Christmas party season and New years eve is only around the corner!  So if your meeting up with friends before the big day or attending a Christmas bash you’ll be making a little extra effort with your Christmas make-up I’m sure.  If you decide to do it yourself I’ve given you a few tips below to help you add something a little special to your look!

Christmas Make-up Tip One – Red Christmas Lips – to make sure you get longevity from your beautiful red lips follow the steps below.

  1. Apply lipstick with a lip brush before using a lip liner.
  2. Blot the lipstick after the first coat to stain the lips.
  3. Apply the lip pencil, the lipstick will help it glide on smoothly.
  4. Apply a second coat of lipstick using a lip brush to freshen up the lipstick and edges.

Extra tip: Don’t apply lip gloss if you want it to last longer and remember to bring the lipstick and brush with you for touch ups!

Christmas Make-up Tip Two – Sparkle Lips – To add another dimension to your party lips try adding some fine glitter or an iridescent pigment powder applied with your finger to the top and bottom centre of your lips.  This will add something special to your make up without going over the top.

Christmas Make-up Tip Three – Sparkle Highlighted CheeksTo add something special to a classic 1940’s make up look add some fine silver glitter as a highlighter on and around the cheekbones to give the make up a real Christmas feel.

Hope you enjoy trying them out!
